We have had a training program for physicians who finished their residencies and desired obtaining additional expertise in musculoskeletal medicine.  This began under Joseph Feinberg, MD, now at the Hospital for Special Surgery, in 1994 and then was directed by Gerard Malanga, MD from 1999 to 2011.  It held many associations including the University of Medicine and Dentistry- Newark, Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, and Atlantic Health System.

There is current part time affliation with UMDNJ-Newark with efforts to resume a full time training program and advance care with a hopeful return to teaching beyond the many visiting medical students and physicians and current Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residents.

Our current Fellow is Michael Goldin, MD.

If you would like to be a part of advancing medical care, research and education you can donate to New Jersey Sports Medicine Education and Research Fund at the New Jersey Health Foundation, Inc.

Yasmin was, and always will be, a shining example of a how a person can achieve anything with hard work and a life-affirming attitude. She gave more than she took, she loved more than she feared, and she nurtured her family and friends at every opportunity. We will always remember Yasmin as a woman of strength, courage and compassion.

Due to her untimely passing from brain cancer, we have set up a trust fund for her two children, Niles and Nylah. Please make your checks payable to: The YANN Trust (Yasmin Algarin Niles Nylah), 197 Ridgedale Ave., Suite 210, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
